About GP

My engineering life started more than 25 years ago completing a mechanical and electrical engineering apprenticeship. 

 This led to a very  varied career covering  service, breakdown and repair on a large range of equipment from diesel and gas engines to electrical and hybrid systems, before moving into a role as a technical trainer.  

From a very young age, I always felt happiest  around water, from swimming, fishing or just messing around in boats it’s such a wonderful environment. I decided in 2023 that I would set up GP Marine and combine my  love for the rivers and canals  and my engineering background to offer an honest and reliable service to the users of the inland waterways.
